Ziv is a serial entrepreneur passionate about innovation, creativity, and building simple, efficient solutions to complex challenges in cybersecurity and AI security. Ziv has taken on a new role as CTO and Co-Founder at a stealth startup. Previously, he served as Vice President of Threat Research and AI Security at Akamai Technologies, Vice President of Engineering of API Security at Akamai Technologies, and prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CTO of Neosec. In his roles at Akamai Technologies, Ziv has led large-scale global engineering and research organizations focused on advancing cybersecurity, AI-driven defense systems, and next-generation API protection. He is especially passionate about leading engineering and research teams to drive innovation at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI security—bringing together world-class talent to transform emerging threats into cutting-edge defensive capabilities and build what previously seemed impossible. Prior to Neosec, Ziv co-founded a smart home and construction startup in the San Francisco Bay Area, and worked at Beamr, a video encoding and compression company, as Lead Application Engineer in Palo Alto, California. Earlier in his career, he led large engineering organizations across research, data analytics, cybersecurity, and machine learning. Across his career, Ziv has focused on innovation and on leading large engineering and research teams to make the impossible possible—delivering breakthrough solutions in complex global environments and building high-performing, multi-cultural, distributed organizations across multiple technology domains.
