I am a seasoned technology and product executive with 30 years of experience leading engineering, product, and platform scale-ups across FinTech, HealthTech, and EdTech. As CTO of Prosper Marketplace, I oversee engineering, technology operations, security, and IT, and I lead AI adoption across the whole company, helping teams from Engineering to Legal, HR, and Operations turn AI into real, responsible business value in a regulated environment. I thrive at the intersection of product and technology, building platforms I want to use myself, scaling global teams of 300+, and driving measurable business outcomes. I've worked across B2C, B2B, and SaaS models, and across three continents. Driving AI value company-wide is now central to how I lead. The interesting problem isn't access to AI, it's turning it into durable outcomes without compromising security or compliance. That means setting tooling strategy and governance for a regulated lender, getting people to use models deliberately rather than indiscriminately, and meeting non-technical teams where they are so adoption actually sticks. I advise and mentor growth-stage companies, most recently Aveni (AI-driven FinTech), as well as founders through SCU's Miller Center, Plato, and Scottish Development International. My leadership style blends transparency, accountability, and agility. I was running iterative teams before "Agile" had a name, and I'm directly involved in developing and testing AI-fueled product development processes in a post-agile world. I've seen how empowerment plus "just enough process" consistently produces better products and happier, higher-performing teams and now seeing how agents can take that even further.
