I was asked recently to describe my ‘typical working day’. And the fact that I couldn’t probably goes a long way to explaining why I love my job. In my position, I wear many hats. One day I might be liaising with marketing, the next deep in elaborate discussions about tech solutions. By the end of the week, I could even be assisting the sales team as they reach out and support our customers. They say that variety is the spice of life – and mine is peppered with it! I’ve been in the energy industry for over thirty years. During that time, I’ve been responsible for everything from mini mainframe development and software design to the one-to-one management of global accounts. My broad experience in the sector allows me to advise our clients on a wide range of solutions while keeping them up to date with the latest trends. At Lenovo, no two days are ever identical. But the part of my job I enjoy the most always stays the same: Connecting with clients all over the world and getting to know them, their families, their cultures (and their tech needs!)
