I believe the purpose of technology is to create lasting, positive change for all of its users. That’s why I’ve built my career on advancing innovation that puts users first. I’ve had many roles—CTO, CEO, Research Scientist, Engineer—but in every single one of them, I’ve been a strong user advocate. Today, that means leading a team of brilliant Lenovo scientists, engineers, and tech visionaries to bring ethically built AI technologies to people across the globe. I also serve as a strategic advisor and board member to several AI startups who share my vision for the future: one where science, deep technology, and purposeful invention transform the way we live and connect with one another for the better. Where I’ve been: • As its former CEO, I led the transformation of PARC (formerly known as Xerox PARC) from a research organization to a world-class open innovation business. I launched PARC's venture studio organization - PARC Refinery - building companies in SaaS for Enterprise AI, IOT, Digital Manufacturing, and CleanTech. • As the former CTO of HP, Inc. I led the technology strategy and R&D labs for the company and architected and co-led its internal incubation function creating new businesses in edge compute, IoT, cyber security, 3D, and medical devices/life sciences.
