I joined HUNGRY when we were running on Google Sheets. A few acquisitions, pandemic, and several product launches later I'm the CTO, and honestly the thing I'm most proud of isn't a specific milestone — it's that we kept figuring it out. Multiple pivots, new product lines, acquired teams and technology, and we're still building. I lead engineering and product for, what is now a 14-person team. I still write code, write specs, and get into the weeds. Not because I have to, but because I genuinely love it and I think it makes me a better leader. I care a lot about the people on the team too — more than anything else, I want them to grow and do great work. The thing I'm most focused on right now is making us truly AI-native. Not slapping AI on top of what we already do, but actually rethinking how we build — using agents to write code, rethinking workflows from the ground up, and building that habit into how the whole team operates. I find this stuff endlessly interesting and we're deep in it. My background is full-stack development with earlier roots in federal IT consulting and a finance and economics degree from Virginia Tech. I like understanding how things work at every level. Always happy to talk to people who like to build.
