About Timothy Ay

Timothy Ay is President & CTO at Agile Cloud Consulting. Location: Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, United States.

For more than 50 years, organizations have invested in technology to transform how they operate and serve their constituents. When those efforts struggle, the problem is rarely the technology itself; it is almost always how the organization thinks about, governs, and applies it. I am a veteran technology executive focused on helping organizations turn technology investments into measurable outcomes. My work centers on aligning strategy, data, platforms, and people so digital transformation delivers real operational value; not shelfware or pilots that never scale. I have led and advised for-profit, nonprofit, and higher-education organizations through complex initiatives spanning enterprise platforms, data architecture, AI & machine learning, and emerging technologies. As President & CTO of Agile Cloud Consulting, I work directly with organizations, particularly mission-driven nonprofits and purpose-led enterprises, as they modernize their technology ecosystems. Our approach is practical and execution-focused: building scalable data foundations, operationalizing AI & ML responsibly, and embedding these capabilities into everyday business processes. We help organizations move beyond experimentation to production-ready solutions that improve decision-making, efficiency, and mission impact. My background includes hands-on experience analyzing complex business problems and designing, integrating, and governing technology solutions that support long-term strategy. Increasingly, this work involves helping leaders navigate AI and machine learning with clarity; separating signal from noise, aligning use cases to real business needs, and ensuring solutions are ethical, secure, and sustainable. Alongside my consulting work, I have served for over 30 years as an Adjunct Faculty member at Villanova University within both the Computing Sciences and School of Business. I teach undergraduate and MBA courses including Systems Analysis & Design, Emerging Technologies, AI & Machine Learning for Business, Business Problem Modeling in AI & ML, and Business Applications of AI & ML. My goal in the classroom mirrors my work at Agile: connecting theory to practice and preparing leaders to apply technology thoughtfully and responsibly. Whether advising executives, guiding delivery teams, or teaching in the classroom, my focus remains the same: helping organizations think differently about technology so they can operate more effectively, adopt AI with confidence, and deliver greater impact in an increasingly data, and intelligence driven world.
