I don't come from Product. I don't come from Engineering. I come from the space in between — and I've spent 20 years proving that's where the most important decisions get made. I started as a software engineer at Infosys, building mission-critical billing and mediation systems for global telecom operators. I became Finxera's first engineering hire, then quietly grew into their de facto right hand for then CTO — simultaneously running Engineering, Cloud & DevOps, Business Intelligence & Data Team, Security Operations, and the Office of the CTO. Along the way, I contributed to a ~$500M acquisition by Priority. Today, as Head of Product at Priority Technology Holdings, I lead a 30+ person product organization across five business lines: Merchant Services (Payments/Acquiring), B2B Payables, Banking & Treasury, Priority Commerce Engine, and Vertical Products (CFT Pay & CFT Connect). I report to the CTO — sitting exactly where I've always operated: at the intersection of product vision and engineering reality. Here's what 20 years has taught me: The most expensive problem in technology companies isn't bad code or missed deadlines. It's the translation layer between Product and Engineering — the meetings about meetings, the context lost between strategy and execution, the decisions delayed because no single leader has full context on both sides. I've spent my career eliminating that translation layer. At Finxera, I built a Security Operations Center from zero that absorbed 4–5 million cyberattacks per week without a single material breach — in a payment processor holding a Money Transmitter License. I cut cloud infrastructure costs from $200K/month to under $55K/month. I reduced environment provisioning from 4 weeks to half a day. At Priority, I inherited a post-M&A quagmire of three legacy CRM platforms bleeding $3M annually. In 9–10 months — through two founder departures and the loss of a key engineer — I migrated 60–80K customers, cut costs to under $2M, and unlocked a new professional services revenue stream. Not by building new. By making the right call, holding conviction, and executing. My view on AI: We are at an inflection point where the question shifts from "how do we build it?" to "what should we build and why?" AI agents will handle the how. The leaders who thrive will be those who can set the vision, validate the strategy, and orchestrate the machine. That's the CPTO of the next decade. I'm not looking for my next job but always looking for my next mission.
