Sudeep Bhoja is founder & CTO of d-Matrix. He brings with him more than 20+ years of experience in defining and architecting groundbreaking products in the semiconductor industry. d-Matrix is focused on highly efficient AI inference of general purpose multimodal transformer models that cover text, speech, images & video. Previously he was Inphi’s Chief Technology Officer, Networking Business Unit at Inphi Corporation which was acquired by Marvell Semi in a $10B acquisition. Prior to Inphi, he was Technical Director in the Infrastructure and Networking Group at Broadcom. He played an instrumental role in the design, development and commercialization of optimal DSP chips using adaptive FIR filters and stochastic gradient descent algorithms. He also helped invent & develop CFEC a concatenation of a hard-decision staircase code and a soft-decision Hamming code that exceeded the state of the art in perf/W and was selected as the winning proposal in the OIF, IEEE and standardized. He was also Chief Architect of a startup, Big Bear Networks, helping build a mixed-signal adaptive equalizer using various gradient descent optimization techniques. Sudeep also held R&D positions at Lucent Technologies and Texas Instruments working on Digital Signal Processing algorithms for speech processing. He is the named inventor of over 40 pending and approved patents. He is an invited speaker at industry tradeshows and conferences and is a published author.
