At Honeywell, building the early-stage R&D spin-off Quantinuum, launched in 2021. Designing an organizational strategy, heading all engineering divisions, and scaling 20X to build and launch the world’s first commercial trapped-ion quantum computer. Quantinuum’ s 2024 pre-money valuation was $10B. Advisor to the Department of Defense; 2024 appointment as Defense Innovation Board’s Senior Strategy Consultant. DARPA, Senior Commercialization Advisor on high-risk, high-reward tech. Key strategist on finalizing Ericsson’s $14.4B deal with AT&T to modernize its 5G infrastructure. Appointed by the Department of Commerce as Chief Technology Officer and Director, Institute of Telecommunication Sciences, to head ITS’s revitalization and transformation, becoming Commerce’s 5G innovation hub, including $28M 5G initiative and $26M federal AI/5G test site launch.
