Scott Schaus is Chief Technology Officer, Diagnostics at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

Scott has over 20 years experience in life science research. As a Professor at Boston University for 12 years his research group developed chemistry for drug discovery. During that time he led research in the discovery of therapeutics for hepatocellular carcinoma, lieshmaniasis, and pox viral infections. His expertise include synthetic methods, medicinal chemistry, and bioinformatics. He currently holds a faculty position at Boston University in Chemistry and Pharmacology. Prof. Schaus recieved his B.A. in chemistry from Boston University and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in organic chemistry. As an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow, he conducted research at the Bauer Center for Genomic Research at Harvard University using genomic techniques to understand drug mechanism. He has published over 60 articles and is co-inventor on 10 patents. Scott currently serves as the CTO for Diagnostics at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc.
