About Samira Kiani
Samira Kiani is CTO and Cofounder at HexemBio. Location: Belvedere Tiburon, California, United States.
I am a physician-scientist, immigrant founder, filmmaker, and coach working at the intersection of regenerative science, human development, and soulful innovation. My scientific work focuses on decoding early human developmental systems to build the next generation of regenerative and immune-modulating technologies, bridging fundamental biology with real-world clinical translation. I care deeply about rigor, reproducibility, and the difficult work of turning ideas into therapies that can actually reach people. Alongside building companies and publishing science, I explore a parallel question: What kind of humans are we becoming as our technologies grow more powerful? This question has led me beyond the lab into storytelling, coaching, and lived experimentation. I produced the documentary Make People Better as a way to explore how pursuit of technological advancement shape our behavior and hubris. I work as a life coach with those navigating identity, ambition, and meaning. And I live simply and intentionally, including periods of living close to nature, as an inquiry into what sustainability and integrity look like in practice not theory. I believe innovation fails when inner development lags behind outer capability. My work across science, story, and mentorship is guided by a commitment to build systems that regenerate not only cells and tissues, but also dignity, agency, and possibility. I am particularly committed to expanding what leadership can look like for women, immigrants, and those who refuse to fragment themselves to succeed and I remain curious about what kind of future we are quietly rehearsing through the lives we choose to live.
