Results driven, execution focused, technology leader with 25 years of management experience leading all aspects of a technology organization. I have led small dynamic product and engineering teams in a start-up environment, and I successfully led 1000+ technology professionals, supporting an organization of 10,000+ employees and $5B in revenue as CIO of National General. I have extensive knowledge in M&A as well as developing technology solutions for the insurance industry for both personal and commercial lines, property & casualty as well as accident and health. I am passionate about championing new technologies and new practices to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve application functionality, availability, and scalability. I enjoy building strong customer relationships and strong partnerships with business stakeholders as well as cultivating strong vendor relationships (onshore and offshore) to maximize execution. My leadership style is influenced strongly by my diverse set of experiences ranging from designing engines at Ford Motor Company, to building a policy administration system for Allstate, to bringing Predictive Modeling to Zurich, to integrating multiple company acquisitions at National General where we decommissioned over 20 enterprise systems and 9 data centers. As CIO at NatGen, I developed the technology strategy and led the execution of that strategy that helped National General grow revenues from $2B to $5B over 6 years. At my core, I am an engineer with a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and a BS from University of Illinois.
