Sabet Elias is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at BNY, where he spearheads the firm’s technology infrastructure, cross-platform development, and the advancement of cloud, AI, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital asset initiatives. With over two decades of experience in transforming and modernizing complex, global technology platforms at leading financial institutions, Sabet has a proven track record of enhancing stability & resiliency. Before joining BNY, Sabet served as CTO at Bank of America. In this role, he was pivotal in developing the Next Generation Online & Mobile Banking platforms, which catered to over 48 million consumer and small business relationships. He played a crucial role in the digital client transformation from “brick to click” banking, leading advancements in Mobile & Emerging Payments, Contact & Financial Centers, and ATM Technologies. Prior to this, Sabet was the CIO for Global Banking & Markets, where he directed the strategy & architecture for trading platforms, risk management & data analytics. Sabet's career includes tenures at Citigroup as CTO and Global Head of Electronic Trading infrastructure, where he developed high-frequency, low-latency platforms known for their scalability & resiliency. He also held the CTO position at Lehman Brothers and began his professional journey at AT&T Bell Labs.
