I’ve spent much of my career working alongside railroad operators, maintainers, and leaders who keep critical equipment moving every day and often with limited time, tight budgets, and zero margin for failure. That experience shapes how I lead at CathWyl. I believe great leadership in the railroad industry starts with respect for the craft. Locomotives may span from many decades old to current battery powerhouses, but the people running them are sharp, practical, and results-driven. My role is to make sure technology serves them and not the other way around. At CathWyl, we focus on building monitoring solutions that are reliable, straightforward, and grounded in real operational needs, not buzzwords. I lead with a hands-on mindset. I have a thirst for learning which leads me to ask questions, listen closely, and push our team to design tools that actually reduce uncertainty for locomotive operators ... whether that’s clearer visibility into fuel usage, engine health, location, or events that matter to safety and uptime. When operators have better information, they make better decisions, avoid surprises, and protect both equipment and crews. Working with CathWyl isn’t about chasing the newest trend. It’s about bringing proven technology, disciplined execution, and long-term thinking into an industry that values trust and performance. That’s the standard I hold myself, and our company, to every day.
