I’ve always been the kind of person who looks at a process, a system, a rule, or even an everyday problem and thinks, “There might be an easier way to do this.” That mindset led me into a career where I build things: automations, data platforms, APIs, AI systems, software, internal tools, (and sometimes even indie games!). I tend to gravitate towards the same central idea with any project: make life easier for people. Today I serve as the CTO of a fast-growing managed service provider, leading a small but intensely capable R&D group responsible for solving complex operational challenges. We support a 300+ person organization by building custom software, transforming data into insight, automating repetitive workflows, and introducing AI in meaningful, measurable ways. Much of my work involves turning years of disparate data into modern architectures using various Azure services and designing and implementing tools that can scale as our business grows. My role blends hands-on engineering with long-term strategic thinking. I write software and scripts in Python, C#, and/or PowerShell; design and run countless SQL queries; build RAG and AI-powered systems from the ground up; design API microservices; build tools to fit countless SaaS providers; and help shape technology direction for the company. Just as importantly, I focus on removing friction, reducing backlog, and giving teams the tools and the resources they need to do their best work. Outside of the corporate world, I’m a family man, and a lifelong builder. I build software for my own personal use, like exploring how everything works, and work on creative side projects that give me room to experiment. I also DM Dungeons & Dragons campaigns (just another form of world-building that taps into storytelling, collaboration, and problem-solving in completely different ways!) And occasionally, I dive into home DIY projects with the same analytical mindset I bring to engineering, just with a lot more water leaks. At my core, I’m someone who enjoys taking on complex challenges, learning continuously, and creating solutions that make a real difference for others. I don’t see technology as a collection of tools; rather, it’s a way of empowering people, teams, and ideas. If that resonates with you, I’m always open to connecting.
