BIO Russell J. Schwartz is Chief Technology Officer of Sun Chemical Corporation and a member of its Senior Leadership Team. In 2019, he also assumed responsibility for Marketing Operations at Sun Chemical. Russell earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany. He started with Sun Chemical in 1981 as a Research Chemist and progressed through a series of technical management positions before being appointed CTO 2010. Russell also is a member of the board of directors for KVK (Denmark). Russell has co-authored technical publications on particle size analysis and the properties of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) and co-edited High Performance Pigments (Wiley & Sons). He has received over 60 U.S. patents for his work in ink and pigments during his career with Sun Chemical. He has lectured at numerous conferences and co-chaired an international conference on Nano-Particle Technology. Additionally, in 2005 he received NAPIM’s TAM award which recognizes technical achievement in the printing ink industry.
