Richard Schuyler was most recently a Strategic Advisor (Product Strategy and IT Transformation) for Discover Financial Services. Richard led a large scale product model implementation (Runway) across Card, Bank, and Payments, 27 value streams, 650+ teams, and over ~10,000 employees - measured through value, delivery, efficiency/cost, quality, and people. In addition, he was successful in implement industry best practices including DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) metrics, Dreyfus talent model, and DevOps platforms (i.e., Jira, Github). Prior to Discover, Richard was an Aon Executive and CEO of Aon's Global Digital Commercial Risk business - Aon Carrier Link (ACL). He's a business and technology leader with more than 25 years of experience spanning insurance, financial services, and consulting. Aon is a global professional services firm and the world’s leader in risk advice and insurance broking. Richard was part of Aon’s Commercial Risk Solutions Leadership Team and also serves as CEO of Aon Broking Technology. As CEO of Aon Carrier Link, Richard was responsible for driving Aon’s digital broking strategy, connecting clients and insurance markets through tailored data-driven, technology-enabled solutions and services. ACL was a central component of Aon’s growth agenda focused on empowering colleagues and their industry-leading broking networks to deliver unmatched risk management placements and data analytics to clients, carriers and the global marketplace. Richard has held several CIO roles, including serving as the Global CIO of the Business Technology Solutions organization for Aon. In this role, he was responsible for the overall IT vision, strategic direction, and tactical delivery of technology solutions for all lines of business across Aon. Before joining Aon, Richard held many senior technology positions at large, multi-national companies including Cigna, Prudential, Computer Task Group, IBM, and Dunn & Bradstreet. His responsibilities within these organizations included business systems integration, application development and conversions, outsourced services management, and strategic and management consulting. Richard holds a degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. He completed the Darden School of Business Executive Program and Leading for the Future at Babson College. Richard was a Board member of ACIA Dublin, Aon’s analytics and innovation center, and is a former Board member of ACORD, a global organization governing and setting insurance data standards.
