My philosophy on software development • Nothing is impossible for the person who doesn't have to do the work • PMs who give optimistic status reports in desperate situations should be fired • If a systems architect flashes a beautiful power point presentation each time he/she is asked for a systems solution, he/she will never be able to deliver the actual solution • Projects with realistic budgets and timelines often don't get approved • MS project is not a good tool for software development project tracking • If you do not clearly define the business problem you are trying to solve, you will not be able to deliver a decent solution • Projects don’t fail at the end, they fail at conception
