As Co-Founder & CTO at Zooly Labs, I am focused on building the core technologies that power AI-guided orthopedic surgery. Our smart sensor platform delivers real-time 3D motion data and machine learning guidance, enabling surgeons to achieve specialist-level accuracy with simplicity and speed. Previously, I was a Principal Research Scientist at Exactech, where I led research and development activities in the Advanced Surgical Technologies team, focusing on projects that leveraged wearables for remote patient monitoring and built clinical decision support tools to empower surgeons with AI-driven guidance. I received my PhD from Arizona State University (ASU), where my research focused on wearable sensors and wearable robotics. My work centered on developing intelligent human activity recognition systems and control strategies for assistive robotics, with applications spanning both military performance enhancement and rehabilitation. Across academia, industry, and startups, my passion has been to bridge AI, biomechanics, and clinical practice, developing technologies that reduce variability, improve reproducibility, and make world-class surgical outcomes accessible to patients everywhere.
