I've spent 25+ years building security software from the ground up — from writing kernel-level malware interceptors to architecting the cloud-native platform that now protects millions of endpoints and processes billions of emails monthly at VIPRE Security Group. At VIPRE, I've served as Chief Architect and now CTO, partnering with the leadership team to evolve a legacy antivirus company into a multi-product cybersecurity group spanning email security, endpoint EDR/MDR, security awareness training, VPN infrastructure (IPVanish, StrongVPN, WLVPN), and threat intelligence. We've done it with a lean engineering team and a relentless focus on getting the architecture right — cloud-first, AI-augmented, and built to scale across 4,000+ channel partners globally. My technical roots run deep: I hold 5 US patents in malware detection and security event management, have presented research at Black Hat USA, and have worked across nearly every layer of the security stack — static and dynamic code analysis, SIEM, privileged access management, identity management, and behavioral anomaly detection. I care about building systems that actually work in the wild, teams that take ownership, and technology that stays ahead of the threat.
