About Danny Patterson
Danny Patterson is Chief Technology Officer at Ramp Health. Location: Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area, United States.
I'm a healthcare technology executive with 20+ years of experience building and leading platforms. As CTO of Ramp Health, I lead a cross-functional team across Engineering, User Experience, Analytics, Operations, and Health Outcomes. The platform serves hundreds providers across many different provider types. My responsibility is to drive technology innovation across the platform, and a major thrust of my current work is transforming our services through AI-native capabilities. We've shipped AI features spanning provider workflows (in-session quality support, care continuity recommendations), member experience (post-visit guidance, personalized content at scale), and clinical operations (structured FHIR extraction of medical history and biometrics). Underneath sits a multi-model evaluation framework that benchmarks Anthropic Claude, Amazon Nova, and Google Gemini for clinical use cases, giving us vendor flexibility and continuous quality assessment as the model landscape evolves. I'm a named inventor on a USPTO-issued patent for personalized health recommendations, and I've maintained HITRUST r2, SOC 2 Type II, and NCQA certifications across platforms with 99.99% uptime. Earlier in my career, I spent two decades on software architecture and platform leadership for Fortune 500 brands and venture-backed startups across media, commerce, and healthcare, and authored two technical books with Adobe Press along the way. Always interested in conversations about applied AI in healthcare, multi-model evaluation, or building durable platforms in regulated environments.
