CTO at SambaSafety, a Stone Point Capital portfolio company in mobility risk SaaS. We process 40+ million motor vehicle records a year, plus court records, telematics, and entity resolution across about a billion records, to keep drivers safe for everyone from small fleets to the largest gig and ridesharing platforms in North America. The last two years I've been heads-down making AI a real lever for the business, not just a developer productivity story. We hit 90% weekly active AI tool adoption across engineering in the first year, run multi-agent systems on parts of our customer-facing workflows, and shipped an FCRA-compliant driver risk service into production on AWS Bedrock with full LLM-as-Judge evaluation. The harder work has been the governance and the culture: an AI Advisory Board, a Generative AI Policy, and getting our org structure to actually match how this technology wants to operate. I lead from the front. I still architect and build the reference systems my teams work from, still go and see the work firsthand, because technologists don't give their respect to a leader who can't do the job. That conviction has shaped everything from how I hire to how I set the technical bar. We tripled revenue from $45M to $135M during my tenure and came through a full ownership transition from Abry Partners to Stone Point, where I authored the CIM and led technical diligence on both sides of the deal. Always happy to compare notes with other engineering leaders working on AI in regulated environments, agentic systems in production, entity resolution at scale, or the messy parts of running a high-performing team through PE ownership.
