A distinguished American innovator, entrepreneur, and institution-builder, Dr. Nalamasu has spent decades advancing U.S. science and technology at the intersection of fundamental research, deep tech commercialization, and global industry. Transformative business and innovation C-Suite leader with extensive experience in driving profitable  growth at a fortune 150 global corporation (Applied Materials), leading disruptive innovation at world class R&D laboratory (Bell Labs), and a global research university (RPI). As a member of the CEO Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Dr. Nalamasu has contributed to 4X growth in revenue, ~>10X growth in EPS and valuation of Applied Materials. He drives multiple new/adjacent market businesses at Applied. As president of Applied Ventures (AV), Dr. Nalamasu has an extensive understanding of global start-up ecosystems. Built AV into a leading global deep tech  CVC for over 13 years with investments in nearly 100 deep-tech start-ups in 19 countries with $500M capital. Dr. Nalamasu has extensive experience serving on the boards of Start-ups, Non-profits, Universities and Government advisory bodies. He has conceived, recruited, built and chaired a world class Growth Technical Advisory Board (GTAB) for Applied Materials  with 4 University Presidents, 2 Nobel Prize Winners, ex-US DOE Energy Secretary, Heads of R&D and Serial entrepreneurs. Spun out Elevated Materials, a battery company with Multi-$100Ms investment from TPG and serves on its board. Have led  board work with the Applied Materials Strategy and Investment committee for over 10 years. Dr. Nalamasu is a pioneer in building public-private partnerships and new CVC models for fostering innovation and corporate growth. Extensive and broad technical experience of driving innovation and enterprise creation at the forefront of advanced technologies including Semi, Display, Optics, Quantum, Batteries, and Life Sciences.  Prolific inventor, (>300 patents), published extensively (>170 papers) and a recognized industry thought leader. Won several International and National recognitions including NAE Member, IEEE Fellow and IEEE Frederik Phillips Award for R&D leadership, multiple American Chemical Society national awards including ACS Industrial Chemistry ACS Roy Tess Award.
