Recently Lead a team of 20 technical staff for company-wide security software initiatives, champion security best practices, and report on security health to CTO and executives. Engage with technical teams to adhere to and apply security best practices. Conduct audits and risk assessments through environment scans and remediate vulnerabilities through configuration changes and creating standards for secure application development. Lead implementation of secure software processes using encryption, IAM, and policies. Develop incident response plans and facilitate training for response teams. Automate tedious tasks to streamline automatic remediation of issues. Partner with compliance team to promote security awareness and educate employees. Obtain and maintain HITRUST certification. Use tools like Python, Kubernetes, AWS, HITRUST, Darktrace, AlertLogic, Halo, SentinelOne, bitdefender, and knowBe4.
