IT professional with over 25 years of leadership experience in highly-scaled technical environments supporting public education, fast-casual food service, and healthcare verticals. I've worked with the Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE) Office of Education Technology (OET) since 2006 serving in various leadership roles impacting service delivery and customer relationship management. My tenure with KDE includes seven years as the Region 7 KETS Engineer working face-to-face with education technology leaders, Superintendents and Finance Officers in 22 Eastern KY school districts. In May of 2024 I became the Chief Technology Officer and Division Director for School Technology Services supporting KDE, 171 public school districts, 51 area technology centers, the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) and Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB). OET fully supports the mission of the Kentucky Department of Education and the KETS Master Plan. The Division of School Technology Services provides foundational and live instructional technology services impacting every classroom, student, teacher, administrator, and K-12 staff member. Kentucky Education Technology System (KETS) is a direct result of the 1990 Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). KETS ensures basic and equitable anytime, anywhere, always-on access to instructional and administrative education technology services.
