I'm the CTO and CIO of Forrester Research, where I lead the technology transformation of a $500M+ global research and advisory firm. But what defines my career isn't a title. It's the ability to sit in a room with a CEO and translate between what the business needs and what the technology can actually deliver. I understand people and business as deeply as I understand systems and architecture, and that combination is what makes transformation programs succeed where others stall. At Forrester, I've built the AI platform that's creating new revenue streams and repositioning the company as a leader in AI-powered business intelligence. I consolidated and restructured the technology organization, reducing costs 40% while improving delivery velocity by 15% and maintaining 100% service continuity. We migrated from legacy Oracle systems to a modern Databricks data platform, unlocking self-service analytics across business units. And I restructured 14 fragmented technology teams into 7 integrated teams aligned to shared business outcomes, delivering 300% faster time-to-market. Before becoming CTO, I spent six years as one of Forrester's top revenue-generating analysts, advising Fortune 500 clients on digital transformation, establishing new technology categories (Backend-as-a-Service, 4-tier Engagement Architecture), and keynoting at conferences. That experience gave me the ability to see technology through the customer's eyes and communicate its value in business language. Prior to Forrester, I spent 13 years at IBM progressing from developer to technical lead, where I earned 23 patents across digital media, web technologies, and mobile platforms. I also founded and scaled a custom home construction company, an experience that taught me as much about managing stakeholders, budgets, and uncertainty as any enterprise role. What I'm focused on now: AI-driven enterprise transformation, building platforms that turn data into competitive advantage, and leading organizations where technology is the business strategy — not a support function.
