As the CTO of Barr Group, I lead a team of internationally respected engineering practitioners and academics who provide consulting and testifying services in the fields of software development, computer science, and electronics design. I have over 20 years of experience in the software industry, including over a decade spent developing software for embedded systems for diverse industries such as automotive, medical, telecommunications, and wireless devices. I am also a former adjunct professor of computer engineering at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, and the author of three books and more than 80 articles and papers about software design and architecture. I have testified about two dozen times before judges and juries in the U.S. and Canada, and have been qualified as an expert in computer software, electrical engineering, and satellite TV piracy. At Barr Group our mission is to help lawyers understand complex technology issues, especially around electronics and software, and explain them to judges and juries.
