Having worked in the Technology Industry for about 30 years the vision of my role has evolved, mostly from a very detailed engineer, interested in solving complex problems, to a leader who is passionate about watching teams grow and succeed. While still interested in engineering, and still participating where possible, my real joy comes from seeing Technology teams and individuals make personal decisions to constantly improve and direct their energies to building technologies that have a direct impact on results. This for sure does not neglect the pure technology necessary for the success, or the details of the engineering, rather it's the focus of the reason for building the technology. My teams love technology, we love the results of our work even more. "the hard problems make it all worthwhile..."
