I am the President and CTO of Resensys LLC, a company that I founded in 2008 with the vision of bringing the 21st century energy efficient low power wireless sensing technology to the infrastructure monitoring. With over 15 years of experience in wireless sensor networks, structural health monitoring, network security, and energy efficiency, I have led the R&D efforts on developing the award-winning Resensys Wireless SenSpot sensors, which offer the world's most reliable and long-lasting wireless structural health monitoring solution. As a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland since 2005, I have also conducted cutting-edge research on various aspects of wireless communication systems, sensor networks, network security, and information flow modeling. I have co-authored more than 60 articles in these fields and obtained five US patents. I have secured several highly selective grants from the National Science Foundation, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation, and the Maryland Industrial Partnerships. I have received numerous awards and honors for my work, including the University of Maryland Business Plan Competition Award, the University of Maryland Award for Entrepreneurship, and the Prince George's Country Business Development Award. I am passionate about creating innovative solutions that address the critical challenges of infrastructure resilience and sustainability.
