Max Romanenko is a technology executive with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and enterprise SaaS platforms. He currently serves as Chief Engineering Officer at EnterpriseDB (EDB), the global leader in PostgreSQL, where he leads development across transactional, analytical, and AI database technologies, and shapes EDB's hardware and security strategy. Before joining EDB, Max was a Senior Vice President of Engineering at Oracle Health and AI, where he led a global organization of more than 1,500 engineers, product managers, architects, and operations professionals. He drove the modernization of legacy healthcare systems, brought new AI-powered SaaS products to market, and improved the scalability and reliability of platforms serving major health systems across the U.S., U.K., Middle East, and Asia. Prior to that role, Max led Multicloud and Edge Engineering within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), launching four public cloud services: Oracle Database Service for Azure, Cloud VMware Solution, Cloud Migrations, and Roving Edge Infrastructure. He scaled his organization from 50 to over 600 engineers and delivered the Multicloud platform in nine months — a particularly high-visibility program executed on a compressed timeline. Earlier in his career, Max held senior engineering leadership positions at WeWork and Agilysys, where he modernized product platforms, automated large-scale operational workflows, and delivered measurable gains in customer experience and retention. He also co-founded a SaaS company and contributed to international expansions and M&A integrations. Max brings together technical depth and operational rigor to build high-performing global teams and deliver results in complex, distributed environments.
