Not long after graduating from Boston College with degrees in Computer Science and Psychology, I began my 20+ year career at Verndale, a digital experience agency headquartered in Boston. As the company has transformed from a 7-person shop to the 300+ person agency it is today, I have worked my way up through various technology roles. Now as CTO, I work closely with Development, Business Analysis, QA, Front-End and Engineering teams to bring best practices, organization, innovation and passion to everything we do. My focus is split between three areas. First is delivery: working with technical leaders on projects to verify they are executing successfully within budget and timeline, always keeping in mind reuse, efficiency and quality, while ensuring successful business outcomes for our customers. Second is technical landscape: since the global pandemic, there have been huge shifts in how technology should be used to support our customers: SaaS, composable architecture, low/no code, and AI are shaking the industry to its very foundation. I make sure our clients make the best decisions to future-proof their digital experiences. Third is working with the rest of Verndale's executive team on how to continue to evolve our business ahead of the curve. Outside of Verndale, I donate pro-bono time as a consultant and board member for Ember Philanthropy, the non-profit arm of MDC Productions, whose mission is to bring much-needed comfort to individuals and families going through periods of hardship by creating uniquely joyful and memorable experiences that can help lift the human spirit. In my spare time, I coach a U11 girls travel soccer team and lead my daughter's girl scout troop, which have been invaluable experiences for me.
