I'm a PhD microbiologist who turns research into technology that works in the real world. The gap between a good idea in the lab and a product running in the field is where most science dies. Closing that gap is what I do. As CTO at In-Pipe Technology, I take rigorous science and make it commercial: deployable, operable, and proven under real conditions. The process is inherently interdisciplinary, requiring scientific and engineering disciplines alongside field operators. The real skill is translation — getting people who don't share a vocabulary to solve the same problem together, and explaining complex science clearly enough that it drives decisions. Prior to joining In-Pipe Technology, I led interdisciplinary research teams at Los Alamos National Laboratory focused on solving environmental problems.
