I've been building software for 30 years. I still write code when I need to think something through. Technology is a tool. It matters when it solves real problems for real people — not when it looks impressive on a roadmap. I've spent my career closing that gap. I lead engineering organizations the way I'd want to be led: clear expectations, real accountability, and room to do great work. I coach more than I direct. I ask more than I tell. Right now I'm focused on two things that I think define the next decade of software development: using AI systematically as a force multiplier for engineering teams, and modernizing the legacy systems that still run most of the world's businesses. I'm SVP and CTO at VelocityEHS, where I own development, architecture, infrastructure, data, and IT. Before that I built and led teams for 15 years across SaaS, education, and professional services.
