When a company is growing fast, getting acquired, or realizing its IT is holding it back, that's where I do my best work. I've spent 30 years walking into technology organizations that have outgrown their infrastructure, their processes, or both, and building something that actually works. PE-backed platforms post-acquisition. Scale-ups hitting their first serious operational wall. Multi-entity enterprises where IT has grown faster than the governance around it. The work looks different every time, but the pattern is consistent: stabilize what's broken, professionalize what's improvised, and build the operating model that lets the business grow without technology becoming the constraint. I've done this across 20,000-user national organizations, $10M IT budgets, complex MSP and vendor ecosystems, and teams I've built from 3 people to 25. I also build teams that outlast the engagement. The people I've hired and developed have gone on to lead functions across the organizations I've worked in, which I think is the most honest measure of whether the work was real. Currently open to VP Technology, Head of Technology, and CTO/CIO roles, with particular interest in PE-backed platforms and growth-stage organizations navigating scale, integration, or transformation.
