Over the past few decades Jud Valeski has enjoyed a successful career in technology. As a lifelong entrepreneur he has always sought out solutions to challenges in the world. Operationally, his post-education career began as a software engineer at Netscape in Silicon Valley working on the Web Browser. He progressed from individual contributor to an Engineering Director role and led the integration effort behind AOL’s acquisition of Netscape, and ultimately became a Technical Advisor for M&A activities. After Product Managing at Me.dium (later sold via acquihire to Walmart Labs) in the mid-2000s, Jud went on to co-found Gnip, a social media data aggregator, in 2008 as CTO. After a challenging start and facing the possibility of shuttering the company, he took on the role of CEO, pivoted the company, and built a $50m ARR business before acquisition by Twitter in 2014 for $155m (80/20 cash/equity). 20x return on invested capital. Jud took on a GM role in one of his investments, Honey, in 2018. Honey is a browser extension that helps consumers save money shopping online; it was acquired by PayPal in 2020 for $4B. 26x return on invested capital. In 2024, Jud co-founded Lowkey Enterprises as CTO in order to bring passive environmental/behavioral monitoring to the masses for positive behavioral/mental health impact. Over the past decade Jud has invested in 35 companies concentrated in the technology sector and has yielded a TVPI of 3.
