I solve hard problems for a living. It’s been fun so far… Democratizing access to big data is critical for all of us. Building teams and systems that grow beyond their expectations has been gratifying for me and our business partners. Happy to be helping my friends at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Enjoyed help LexisNexis’ innovation company - Reed Tech - use technology to focus on realizing the tremendous value latent in the data and human resources throughout the enterprise. In my work at Change Healthcare, after a career in FinTech – I naively thought I had seen it all in terms of poor data quality and multiple data silos within a large enterprise. I was wrong... but it has been very satisfying to learn this domain and bring the huge volume of data within this enterprise to heel for use in ML and other analytics contexts :) Morningstar continues to be a tremendous company filled with amazing people – I’m proud to have been a small part of their success in transitioning from a silo’d company of verticals into a platform-based, client-focused powerhouse. They allowed us all freedom to how to effectively manage people and develop chops in cloud and agile areas. I build systems that scale and teams that know how to manage both calendar and client constraints.
