About John Fischer

John Fischer is Chief Technology Officer at DGA Security. Location: Cold Spring Harbor, New York, United States.

Thirty years ago, I began my career fresh out of college as a night manager in DGA Security’s monitoring center. Over the years, I’ve advanced through roles in customer service, sales, project management, and ultimately into technology leadership — gaining a deep, hands-on understanding of every facet of the security and monitoring business. Today, I serve as a senior technology leader for DGA Security and its sister company Affiliated Monitoring, guiding both organizations through the evolving landscape of monitored security. My role spans software development, information technology, and strategic innovation — ensuring that our technology infrastructure not only supports but accelerates business growth. At DGA and Affiliated, I lead: • Custom Software Development – Overseeing an industry-leading team that designs and builds bespoke solutions for traditional and emerging security monitoring systems. • IT Infrastructure & Operations – Maintaining uninterrupted technical and business continuity across all hardware, software, networks, and communication platforms. • Strategic Technology Initiatives – Researching, implementing, and scaling technology solutions that align with long-term business goals. With a foundation in Physics and Management Information Systems, I combine analytical thinking with strategic vision to deliver reliable, future-ready technology solutions. My career-long perspective — from the monitoring center floor to the executive level — uniquely positions me to bridge business needs with innovative technical strategies.
