As Chief Technology Officer for HII Mission Technologies, I guide our vision for technical excellence, innovation and digital transformation across one of the nation's most advanced defense technology organizations. I oversee strategy, investments and expert teams driving growth, next-generation product development and internal R&D, ensuring HII remains at the forefront of rapidly evolving defense, industry and global security environments. My background spans more than three decades of engineering leadership across modeling and simulation, systems engineering, enterprise information systems and cybersecurity. Before stepping into the CTO role, I served as Technical Director for HII's Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Solutions business, helping architect cutting-edge training, test and evaluation environments for advanced weapons systems. Prior to HII's acquisition of Alion Science and Technology, I spent over 15 years at Alion as Engineering Program Manager and Division Manager, leading multidisciplinary teams on complex national security programs. Today, my focus is on accelerating HII's adoption of artificial intelligence, digital engineering, directed energy, autonomy and data-driven decision-making—capabilities essential to defense modernization. I work closely with leaders across HII to unlock cross-division opportunities and ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of mission-critical innovation. What drives me most is building strong technical organizations, mentoring the next generation of engineering leaders, and turning complex problems into practical solutions that genuinely move the needle for the people who rely on them.
