ACHIEVEMENTS - Produced an award winning platform using a lean engineering organization and structure for the firm - Implemented Agile Extreme Programming methods, UML and use of CMM tools. Use of Agile development methods helped to reduce product defects by 40% and reduce development time by 25%. - Built a low latency trading platform capable of transacting 30-40 million shares a day, developed a real time streaming market data platform capable of delivering 300,000 messages a second. - Developed a Web, C++ and C# based trading interfaces for customers to trade. - Managed offshore testing resources to help supplement automated testing requirements using Rational Robot which lead to a 60% reduction in time spent on validating code. - Instituted requirements for automated building and testing of code base daily helping to discover incompatible code in a timely manner, which helped to further reduce testing requirements. - Insured that re-factoring of code was done when prudent, this helped to insure that the code base was maintainable and insured future growth of the products. - Instituted and lead an architectural oversight team which included mangers and senior developers, team was responsible for the overall architecture of the products. - Negotiated several million dollars in software and vendor contracts with positive outcome for the firm. - As the company grew, insured that processes were added when prudent and reviewed and changed when required.
