I'm an engineering leader who builds organizations that can reinvent themselves — and teams that people don't want to leave. Over 20 years, most recently leading a 60-person engineering org through repeated strategic pivots at a $50M ARR B2B SaaS company, including a ground-up pivot to AI-first products. The biggest lesson from that AI transformation: dedicated AI teams are a trap. They separate AI knowledge from product context, which is the only thing that matters for shipping. We dissolved ours, made AI every product team's responsibility, and shipped 3 AI products in 8 months. I combine hands-on technical depth (I still prototype and architect) with deliberate culture building — values-driven hiring, transparent leadership through hard transitions, and organizational designs that give engineers real ownership. I also redesigned our full SDLC around AI-assisted development: not just handing engineers a tool, but rethinking specifications, code review, and quality from scratch.
