After looking back over my four decades in the engineering industry, my drive for technical excellence has never wavered. I have spent time learning the history of our profession, examining more than 500 historical text references in my lifetime. I believe that we stand on the shoulders of mathematically elegant geniuses. Our predecessors didn’t have computers and digital models, but they had a keen knowledge and an unmatched dedication to technical engineering that helped us build the industry we work in today. LAN is a company that focuses on technical excellence. I have been able to use what I learned in order to create and manage technical innovations now and for the future. Anyone can build a bridge, but our job as engineers is to build that bridge safely and economically for the long term. At LAN, my role is to ensure we use competitive technology to deliver our projects. I’m grateful to work for a company that shares my passion for technical distinction.
