I'm a mostly grown-up nerd with a lot of experience in startups, mobile, and payments, with a smattering of games. I love writing code, but these days I mostly write email, spreadsheets, and the occasional architecture diagram. Though I don't work much with a compiler anymore, I view my job as engineering systems that will put the right people in the right seats, with the right missions and alignments, to design and build the systems that we need. On the best days it feels like engineering at a much higher level of abstraction (albeit with a less capable debugger). I can speak intelligently about software, board games, and whiskey. I can speak with middling to poor intelligence about any number of things.
