About Farhan Malik

Farhan Malik is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Architecture of Things. Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States.

CTO and AI enterprise architect working across the full arc — from research through production — building the AI vision, governance, reference architectures, and the teams behind them across generative AI, large language models, agentic systems, machine learning, and the cloud they run on. My work spans AI strategy and governance, enterprise architecture, technology roadmapping, product management, and commercialization — from research through go-to-market. Over two decades, I've led large-scale technical change and worked as the person who keeps the business and technology agendas pointed the same direction. A commercialization advisor at DARPA, a contributor to The Open Group standards organization, and founder of an enterprise open-source program that joined the Linux Foundation's TODO Group. A mentor for iGEM's synthetic biology teams, the National Security Innovation Network Foundry, and the Starburst Aerospace accelerator. This work spans aerospace and defense, automotive, government, biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy and utilities, telecommunications, financial services, and technology.
