Proven leadership experience across large companies and startups, spanning consumer and enterprise products to drive business impact. As CTO for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Eyal drives technical strategy, architecture, and innovation for AI-powered chat, search, and agentic experiences across Microsoft 365 Copilot - reimagining work and productivity with the power of AI. Eyal spent 12 years working on Google Search. As a co-founder of the Google Knowledge Graph, Eyal led product, platform, and ML/AI teams to launch numerous features and product experiences from inception to a billion MAUs, leveraging Semantic Search to improve Search Quality and drive Growth. Led technical architecture and developer infrastructure for search, focusing on improving performance (latency, cost, reliability), and DevX (architectural complexity, developer velocity) for 4000+ engineers. As VP of Engineering at Grammarly, Eyal led a 450-person engineering organization, shaping technical strategy and excellence with a focus on Enterprise customers. Built and led the platform organization, spanning ML Infrastructure (LLM training, optimization, deployment, quality, RAG), Cloud Platform (enabling single-tenant cloud-native deployments, while driving FinOps, DevOps, and DevX), Client Platform (DevX for feature teams with a build-once-run-everywhere operating system and shipping user-facing features e.g. App Actions), and all things related to Data across Grammarly (Data Science & Business Intelligence, Data Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Experimentation, Metrics, and Quality Eval). Eyal brings extensive experience in AI/ML/GenAI, Search, Knowledge Graphs and semantic search, Data Infrastructure, and large-scale cloud-native Systems, Infrastructure, and Platforms. Holds an Information Systems PhD from Tel-Aviv University in the field of network analysis and recommendation engines, Visiting Scholar at the Stern School of Business, New York University. M.Sc. in Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University in the field of algorithms and image signal processing.
