About Douglas Danforth

Douglas Danforth is Chief Technology Officer at Tactical Triage Technologies. Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States.

My career focused on the creation of Virtual Learning Environments for medical education, including the development of Virtual Patients to teach and assess communication skills and clinical decision making in medical students, and Virtual Reality simulations to train first responders how to triage a mass casualty incident. My research was funded by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration, The Institute for Innovative Technologies in Medical Education, The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, The Ohio Department of Medicaid, the National Science Foundation, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). I am currently the Chief Technology Officer for Tactical Triage Technologies, a technology start-up company developed to commercialize the mass casualty VR training systems developed by our AHRQ and DARPA funded research.
