A child of the Internet, I programmed my way through the dot com era, earned my doctorate in the design of social computing systems, and have spent my career merging technology and business to build products, teams, and outcomes. Today I serve as Chief Technology Officer at Devis, where I lead AI and data platforms that process millions of transactions a day, direct cross-functional engineering teams, and take new AI-powered ideas from prototype to launch. I am also a Professor of Management Science and the founding Chair of the George B. Delaplaine Jr. School of Business, and I am completing my MBA at MIT Sloan. Earlier, I helped found and lead the product and engineering teams at Sonum Technologies, a venture-backed firm specializing in natural language processing and conversational AI, where I built the core product and helped pitch the company to investors. Across all of it, I am a builder: a technologist, data scientist, and educator focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, especially in AI and analytics. I have trained more than 2,800 professionals to evaluate, strategize around, and put new technology to work, and I care most about turning frontier technology into real products and measurable value.
