Founded Lilac Solutions to reinvent and scale lithium extraction for electric vehicles. Filed our first patent as a solo founder, and then built teams spanning materials engineering and manufacturing, hydromet process development, project engineering and execution, remote field operations, resource acquisition and development, and partnerships. Led the company for 8 years as CEO, raising over $300M and proving the technology in the field at some of the world’s largest lithium resources as well as at emerging non-conventional resources. In 2024, recruited a new CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth, while moving into my current President & CTO role. My technical background is in chemistry and materials engineering with a focus on modeling, materials design, process flowsheets, equipment packages, and energy systems.
