He currently serves as CTO and CISO at Apollo Information Systems, where he played a key role in transforming the company from a 20 year old traditional value-added reseller into a high-growth cybersecurity services and managed security platform company. He built and scaled the services business from inception to eight-figure annual revenue in three years, led M&A and integration efforts, and helped drive the company toward a recurring revenue model centered on managed security services using Apollo's unique platform and approach. Bennett’s experience goes beyond the technical confines of cybersecurity and spans P&L ownership, go-to-market strategy, product development, and large-scale operational leadership. Prior to Apollo, he served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Texas, where he oversaw cybersecurity strategy across a $200B enterprise and led response efforts for the largest coordinated cyberattack against local governments in U.S. history.
