Brian Pearson has led dynamic IT organizations for startup, growth, franchise, and mature public restaurant companies. Brian’s IT development began in the US Army, where he studied cryptography and telecommunications management. His restaurant technology background includes great brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, and leading technology groups for Ruby’s Diner, BJ’s Restaurants, STACKED Restaurants, LLC, & Mendocino Farms. At both Ruby’s Diner and BJ’s Restaurants, Brian had to build solutions from the ground up, integrating POS, KDS, HRIS, ERP and numerous other in store and above store technologies to achieve the company's strategic agenda. At BJ’s he also led the Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCI implementations. He crafted the STACKED Restaurants world first iPad POS, designing and implemented the full technology stack, sourcing vendors and managing all corporate functions. Brian has also founded {cio.school}, the educational branch of the Restaurant Technology Network. Brian is an IT leader with a foundation in, and bias towards, Operations. His specialties include Mobile Strategy and Development, Business Process Automation, Product Integration and Analytics. He is a frequent speaker on Technology Thought Leadership, Innovation, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning. Pearson’s operational background enables him to engineer holistic scalable infrastructure systems for growth companies that achieve strategic goals, while maintaining service of the operations groups. Pearson has transitioned companies from weekly reporting in critical areas of sales reporting, labor and KPI’s to real-time solutions.
