Defined and architected multiple test instrument platforms. Focus has been on user needs and implementing smart test methodologies, presenting the instrument as a solution - rather than the traditional test instrument approach. Had close customer interaction and understands how to translate customer requests into product definitions. Very knowledge in measurement methodologies. By using knowledge of chip design (internals) faster and more robust solutions have been developed. Many of the mentioned test methodologies have been patented. Currently leading an advanced technology group working on new and radically different test and measurement methodologies. Many of these technologies have been introduced in new instruments. Spent 2.5years in Shanghai, China to open LitePoint's first Asia office. Prior to co-founding LitePoint, Dr. Olgaard was the system radio architect at National Semiconductor for the implementation of various wireless systems, including tri-band GSM, IS-95, and DECT. Dr. Olgaard received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark Dr. Olgaard holds many patents related to wireless systems and circuits from chip level, through system level to test architectures for efficient test of wireless systems.
